OUR VISION
Founded in 2020 by a 17 a year old, during the first Coronavirus lockdown and as a response to climate change, VERDEBLEU donates 5% of profit to help save the rainforests.
In 2023 we are donating to Rainforest Trust UK.

OUR INGREDIENTS
VERDEBLEU is dedicated to bringing you clean and effective beauty products. We are proud of our ingredients and are totally transparent about what we use and what is in each of our carefully made skin and hair care products.

We do not use toxic chemicals or ingredients. We source from the very best suppliers, who are ethical and can trace the provenance of every batch of raw materials. We only buy raw materials that are responsibly produced. We do not use any ingredients derived from plants on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) threatened species (growing in the identified countries) list of Critically Endangered, Endangered, and Vulnerable or that are protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
What you put on your skin also gets into your system through a process called "dermal absorption". We are very careful not to use SLS, parabens, phthalates, silicones, sulfates, fillers, animal derivates, petrochemicals, palm oil, artificial colours or fragrances in our products.
A minimum of 98% of our ingredients are of natural origin.
Any non-natural ingredients meet strict standards, green chemistry principles and cannot exceed 2% of the formulation.
No endangered plant species are used.
No controversial chemicals, parabens and phthalates are in our products.
No synthetic colours, dyes or fragrances.
All our hair and skin care products are vegan, biodegradable, ocean friendly and cruelty free.
OUR PACKAGING
Our packaging is as important as what is inside it. We use high quality packaging that looks good enough to be re-used and re purposed.

We do not use cardboard or paper packaging or leaflets.14% of deforestation is due to the need for pulp to make paper goods.
Vast areas of rainforest are destroyed each year to produce pulp for paper products. From the tropical rainforests of Indonesia to the temperate rainforests of Canada, Australia and Chile, clearcutting for paper is one of the largest causes of rainforest destruction.

We actively think about contributing to a circular economy – where we not only use less packaging but choose high quality, attractive packaging that can be reused or recycled. We only use high percentage Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR), fully reclaimable and reprocessable materials such as Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) bottles and jars with a low carbon footprint, for example PET is up to 85% lighter than glass. This helps cut transportation costs, in-turn lowering CO2 emissions. Our labels are made of polyester and are recyclable. Aluminium and glass are 100% recyclable and can be recycled endlessly without loss in quality or purity. Our outer packaging is required for hygiene and protection and is made of Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) that is recyclable as well.

We are registered for EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) where applicable.
EPR is an environmental policy that holds the party who first places an EPR-applicable product in a country responsible to mitigate the environmental impacts of their product for its entire life cycle from design to the end of its life, including waste collection, treatment and customer take-back.
